Florida Sales Tax does apply unless you provide a Current Sales exempt Id in your name, and yes everyone gets paper work to print off on mail ins and paper to those who I service here in Florida - I run a straight forward business. I won't risk everything I worked for to save you a few dollars.

You can more on our about us page as well

I work form home , I do not have a walk in shop, I do not have time to sit and chat - I have to much work to do, I can not cut gears - mill parts with people walking in and out.

I work with gear cutting machines and work with chemicals and oil - your car dealer does not let you on the shop floor due dangers of flying metal - grinding - grease on the floor and chemicals in use. I'm no different.

Your car dealer charges big bucks to find your issue then charges you for repairs.

With that being said , there are not many of us left doing this type of work - Your car dealer pulls parts off a shelf

In clock and watch repair parts 90% of the time - parts have to be made and fabricated { They don't make antique clock parts , you can get some replace parts for newer cuckoo clocks - and those supply houses on the net will tell you the same thing , find a clockmaker if you can , and not a parts changer { the guys who tell you, that your clock can not be fixed and they put in a quartz movement } anyone can put in a battery

I'm talking about gears - cases and so on'- Oh, by the way - I restored old cars years back - that also requires making parts - almost anyone can change a engine, most can not fix a clock or a watch, and most mechanics can not do Antique Auto repair - Skills: having talent comes from years of hard work and being born with a mechincal ability to figure things out.

I stand behind my work - services and agreements signed

It is a long page It will have grammar corrected at some point

NOTE: Some people over the years never picked up their clocks, and gave reasons they could not afford to pay me after I put my hard money - sweat and a load of time into fixing a clock or watch,
I do not make much an hour , in reality I have more time in your time piece then your paying

Locating antique parts - making parts - it is hard work and a true labor of love for what I do. : Listen, I have bills to pay too.Read my about me page.

Below gives you a Idea of the time I had to fight to get paid. No More - No Exceptions, it weeds out the fools that have a wild dream of fixing Grandma's old clock, with no spittoon to spit in and no pot to piss in.

Note:{ Back in the day they had no running water, just a pan or pot , in the winter the outhouse was mighty cold, hence that is where the old saying " No Pot To Piss In" came from, some people back when were to poor to even have a extra pot to piss in , just a note for the younger plugged in generation } -

Yah, I'm a bit country - I do wood working, that comes from being born - breed and raised country. My dad was a Designer who made parts for Apollo 11 , and yes I'm a NASA Military family brat with a country soul, where we stand behind and keep our word. I come from God's country, where respect and reputation is earned the old fashion way. Giving a fair price and doing a honest hard day's work. Cheer's

A mechanic's lien is a legal claim against a property, typically used by contractors, subcontractors, or material suppliers who haven't been paid for work or materials used in improving the property. It creates a security interest in the property, allowing the lien holder to potentially force a sale to satisfy the debt if the owner fails to pay.
Key aspects of mechanic's liens:

Purpose:

To ensure payment for those who contribute to the value of a property through labor or materials.

Who can file:

In Florida, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and other professionals who contribute to improvements can file a lien.

How it works:

The lien is filed with the county recorder's office, and the property owner is notified. If payment isn't made, the lien can be enforced through a lawsuit, potentially leading to a forced sale of the property.

Time limits:

In Florida, a lien must be filed within 90 days of the last furnishing of labor or materials. The lien is valid for one year, during which an action to enforce it must be initiated. Notice to Owner:

Subcontractors and material suppliers in Florida are required to provide a Notice to Owner (NTO) within 45 days of first providing labor or materials.

Enforcement:

The lien holder can file a lawsuit to enforce the lien within one year of filing, or within 60 days if the owner files a Notice of Contest of Lien, or within 20 days if the owner files a notice to show cause.

Full Service Restorations

I work on Black Forest Clocks - Grandfather Clocks - French Clocks - German Clocks in General - Below are photos of what I repair own and restore. this site is my new brain child, My happy place, I enjoy restoring Antiques clocks, it is not a job , but a labor of love for history, some people say I live in the past. And I do, the wonders of how things were made by simple candle light - in reality a time when people took pride in their work and craftmenship - no modern day computers , no AI , just pure hard work.

It is a wonderful feeling to pick up one of my 200 year tools, and think back to the time, when it was first used , holding that same tool that I know cherrish and use in my restorations, there is nothing like it, to save a be part of history, we all live a very short time, merely we are the care takers of the past.

Expenses in Doing Restorations

Some people have no clue to what goes into running a restoration business - tooling - It is a business expense , cutters and drill bits and gear cutters all cost money - and they are called consumables , they have to be replaced.

I buy a lot of clocks off the internet site which is another business expense and there is reports and records - they have to be kept - business's get a break on sales tax when buying parts from wholesalers and items used in creation and operation of every day busines - it is the end user - like any business that pays sale tax.

So you think clock repair and Antique restorations is easy - you all forget all the extra work that goes into running a business - shipping packing and packing supplies - up keep of tooling - buying and locating old growth lumber and so on.

I state all this because there are some real ignorant people that don't know how to run a business - such as estate dealers here in Florida - who fail to give receipts for my records - which are needed for my expence reports - which is also - required for all sales in the state of Florida - Hence, that is why I buy mainly from on line places

With this being said - items and clocks I buy to make patterns and reproduce parts for your restorations all cost money and adds to the cost of doing business. Let's not forget the light bill , heating and A.C. , Tooling uses electric at times, a lot is done by hand. '

Things you all do not think of , it also cost money for oil and I only use the best Swiss oils and grease - I also have my own natural made grease I use, not only is it safe - you could eat it and not get sick - my own speical sauce , now most high end watches and clocks require top notch swiss products and good materials such as metals from Germany . Did I loose you yet, that is ok, it gets better

I assure you my name is not bubba, and I do have tools as shown below, I have 100's of little tools and micro size machinies - I will add more on tooling in the future ', and well they are not cheap and neither are my services.

If your a skin flint and do not want to pay for top notch warranty work, you can find a lot of guy's named bubba at your local bar, or local flee market.{ No offence to the guys named Bubba who I buy from } Oh, and I don't drink or do drugs, I'm a God Fearing Religious man who enjoys doing restorations - with that being said good luck, and say Hello to Bubba for me, I'm sure he will be gratful for the extra beer money - Cheers
