I'm not telling you what is wrong in these first two photos,I will tell you it is Butcher Shop Repair - it won't hold up. The clock is well over 100 years old, and a clock as rare as these, well, should be trusted to someone who is going to do the job right the first time, So your clock will last another 100 years with proper care and maintenance
The Clock was repaired in the State of CO. I'm not going to slam them personally. My statement will get around soon enough.
It takes 6-9 months to correct everything wrong with a clock, sometimes over a year depending on all the repairs needed - you get a flat rate price up front, and I stand by my work. Real restorations. I take pride in my work, -- There are a few guys left in this country, very few who know what they are doing, matter of fact if you look at the list approved by the Black Forest Clock Association, there are not many people on their warranty repair list in this country { The United States } { Fact } I'm not on it, never asked to be, I got my own gig { I wind up repairing the repaired anyways.Moving On :Some will see what took place in the first two photos and how wrong this was - Like I stated it was - at best a Butcher Shop Repair Job - Pretending to be a clock shop.
