I work on Black Forest Clocks - Grandfather Clocks - French Clocks - German Clocks in General - Below are photos of what I repair own and restore. this site is my new brain child, My happy place, I enjoy restoring Antiques clocks, it is not a job , but a labor of love for history, some people say I live in the past. And I do, the wonders of how things were made by simple candle light - in reality a time when people took pride in their work and craftmenship - no modern day computers , no AI , just pure hard work.

It is a wonderful feeling to pick up one of my 200 year tools, and think back to the time, when it was first used , holding that same tool that I know cherrish and use in my restorations, there is nothing like it, to save a be part of history, we all live a very short time, merely we are the care takers of the past.

Firstly, I will start out with this , your clock is like a car engine, it gets gummed up and needs to have a oil change.When metal rubs against metal over the years it will wear out requiring , bushings and or new gears. I will have a page up soon covering issues. You can not buy New Antique Cuckoo Clock Movements - You need to have them repaired

Second : Please do not ask how to fix your own clock, I don't teach for free and I don't work for free. There are plenty of wannabee clock makers on youtube.

Below is a Black Forest Cuckoo Clock - called a Quail and Cuckoo which has two birds. Note the clock is being inspected in the photo's. Note the green goo on the movement. { This was caused by a few reasons.} One of ,which was the person who tried to be a clockmaker, it ran for a bit and is now here for a real cleaning and repair.
